Depending on the season and your individual wishes, the skipper will take
your advise on which route to take and what stops could be made.
Break your chains of the daily routine and its stressing rhytm. There
are NO obligations, (almost) everything is possible!
Duration of the journey: The duration of the trip depends on your
wishes. Typically an eight day full week, a five day midweek or a three
day weekend trip is chosen. This standard periods are the ones mentioned
in our price list.
Outside the summer season other arangements might be possible. Feel free
to get in touch with us, we will gladly provide you with more information.
Standard one week journeys starts the first day at 19:00 and ends at about
10:00 after breakfast on the last day.
Starting Harbour: Oudenaarde "De 4 Vaargetijden" awaits you in this traditional centre of textile manufacturing with magnificent historical buildings. The ship lays in the centre of the city. Full information on how to reach our barge comes with the confirmation of your bookings.
Sailing Season: We offer trips throughout the year, all four sailing
seasons.
The main season starts in May, and continues until the end of September.
Make your reservations in time, since we tend to be booked out far in
advance.
Popular winter arrangements include weekends and christmas holidays.
In the rare occasion that frozen waterways force the trip to be cancelled, you get a full refund of your prepayments.
Passengers: Travelling the waterways by barge suits all ages: from seniors to kids, everyone finds plenty of features to make this the vacation of a lifetime. Whether you're looking foreward to active participating involvement in the daily activities at board, or just prefer to relax... It's up to you, the boat will bring you anyway.
If less mobile you should consider that our ship has a currently one inevitable (10 Step) stairway.
Our barge follows fixed routes, on those trips open for individual participation, as indicated in our prices & routes brochure, (Adobe PDF format).
Starting from five person groups, the whole barge can be chartered for a private voyage. In such cases the itinerary is completely open for discussion. Talk with our Crew about locations you do not want to miss, they will work out some matching routes and let you choose.
